Life Savings Insurance
Navy Federal provides free Life Savings Insurance for its members under 70, as long as they have a combined balance of at least $100.
The amount of insurance is based on age and combined balances of savings and IRA Accounts on the date of death.
Departing members may convert the insurance to any permanent individual life policy up to 31 days after leaving, without medical examination, at the insurer's rate.
